Scholars point out that 'territorial identity' reflects Cambodian nationalism

Professor Satthaphum Boonma, a special lecturer in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, gave an opening speech at the seminar, “The issue of border disputes” is not a matter of land, but a matter of interpreting history. It is not just GPS measurements, but a matter of interpreting national memory. It is a matter of a single ancient document that has been used to create bargaining power at the global level. It is a matter of the International Court of Justice, which has become a forum for litigation, but from another perspective, it may be a forum for long-term negotiations.
